Daysailing may be over for the season, but we still have plenty going on in the winter including Caribbean Cruising CoursesFrostbite Racing, our Captain’s Licensing Course, and ASA 105 Coastal Navigation. Our winter hours are Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. 

Daysailing

Enjoy the use of our Solings and Sonars, according to your membership plan.

As a member of the Boston Sailing Center, you'll enjoy more time on the water than most boat owners - and at far less cost. Membership entitles you to unlimited sailing during the regular season with no additional cost for boat usage. The Center's low member-to-boat ratio ensures optimal boat availability throughout the season. And our proven record of excellent boat maintenance is second to none.

Prerequisite: Learn to Sail or equivalent experience and on-the-water checkout and written navigation test. 

Membership Plans

7-Day Access $1275 Use of the Daysailing Fleet for the whole season (weekdays and weekends) from 9:00am to sunset
Weekends $1170 Sail on Weekends only, 9:00am to sunset
Weekdays $1035 Sail on weekdays only, 9:00am to sunset
Weekdays 9-5 $695 Sail weekdays only between 9:00am to 5:00pm
Mini $510 Thirty consecutive days of access to the daysailing fleet, weekdays and weekends, 9:00am to sunset

Sign Up as a Daysailing Member

Shared Membership

A shared membership is ideal for a group of 2 or 3 people who usually sail together, but who each want the benefits of membership. Once you have purchased a full year Daysailing membership, up to two friends may join under the same plan for just 50% of the full membership fee per person. A shared Membership may reserve and use only one boat at a time. Call the office to add shares to your membership.

Employment

For more than 40 seasons, the Boston Sailing Center has been a top rated adult sailing school and membership club located on Boston Harbor.

We have a 75 boat fleet and an annual member and student base in excess of 1000 customers per season.

Sailing Instructors

The Boston Sailing Center is currently seeking sailing instructors for the 2017 season. We have instructor openings for beginner and advanced keel boat courses. The position includes teaching classroom and on-the-water sessions to adult students. Part-time, full-time and weekend positions are available.

Candidates should be reliable, motivated and possess good presentation skills. Advanced knowledge of keel boat sailing including spinnaker handling and navigation is required. ASA certification and Coast Guard License a plus.

Marine Tech/Sailboat Maintenance

The BSC is looking for individuals skilled in general boat maintenance and repair including rigging and cruising boat systems. Duties include spring commissioning and ongoing maintenance on our fleet of 75 sailboats.

Hours of Operation

During the sailing season we're open everyday from 9am to sunset.

During the off-season, we're open Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm. 

From the South:

Take 93 north to Exit 23 - "Gov't Center". Stay in the right lane. Bear right through light onto North St. Take right fork near Paul Revere's house, then right on Lewis St., left on Commercial. Lewis Wharf is straight ahead.

From the North:

Take 93 south to Exit 24A - "Gov't Center". Take right fork on exit ramp. Turn left at the light. then immediately left again onto Atlantic Ave. Stay on Atlantic Ave. keeping Christopher Columbus Park and Commercial Wharf on the right. Lewis Wharf is just past Commercial.

From the West:

Take the Mass. Pike to 93 North (Exit 24B). From 93 take Exit 23 - "Gov't Center". Stay in the right lane. Bear right through light onto North St. Take right fork near Paul Revere's house, then right on Lewis St., left on Commercial. Lewis Wharf is straight ahead.

Parking:

We recommend you park at the lot immediately north of Lewis Wharf (sign says "Sargents Wharf Parking").

By Subway:

The Center is a short walk from the Haymarket T stop (Orange and Green lines) or the Aquarium T stop (Blue Line)
