RacingClass

This course will teach you the racing rules, boat handling, spinnaker skills and boat speed needed to be competitive.

Races are videotaped for analysis.

Format - Summer/Fall Soling Racing

This course has several formats, depending on the racing series. Lectures are on weekday evenings, and on-the-water instruction is held on the racing day for the corresponding series. Solings are raced in the Summer and Fall, and J/24's are raced in the winter. 

SUMMER RACING COURSE

6 Classroom sessions and 6 on-the-water sessions as a part of our Tuesday racing fleet

Classroom sessions are held on 6 Monday evenings from 6-8pm. Sailing is part of the Soling Racing series on Tuesdays from 5pm to sunset. The class will be split into two teams, which will alternate Tuesdays for 6 racing sessions.

Summer Racing Schedule

Classroom on Mondays: 6 Mondays from 6-8pm, starting June 4, 2018
Racing on Tuesdays: Two teams of three alternate Tuesdays from June 5- August 21, 2018 5pm-sunset. Register as either "Team A" or “Team B" when enrolling.

Team A Sailing Schedule: 6/5, 6/19, 7/3, 7/17, 7/31, 8/14

Team B Sailing Schedule: 6/12, 6/26, 7/10, 7/24, 8/7, 8/21

*Students who would like to race every week can purchase two spots in the course with a double enrollment discount. Contact the office to purchase this option.

FALL RACING COURSE

6 consecutive classroom sessions are held on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. On the water instruction takes place as part of the Saturday Racing Series from 9:30am-1:00pm

Classroom on Thursdays: 6 consecutive Thursdays from 6-8pm, starting September 6, 2018
Racing on Saturdays: 6 consecutive Saturdays from 9am to 1pm starting September 8, 2018

Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy:If you are unable to attend your course on the date you select, you may receive a full refund or reschedule your course up to your commitment date, which is 14 days prior to your start date. Thereafter, no refunds are allowed and the course may not be rescheduled.

Format - Winter J/24 Frostbite Racing 2017-2018

Classroom sessions take place on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm throughout the Frostbite season. Sailing is part of the J-24 Frostbite Series on Saturdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The class will be split into two teams, which will alternate Saturdays for the entire series. Classroom sessions are held on Thursdays.

Winter Racing Class: If you are new to frostbite racing and don't mind the cooler temperatures, we offer our Racing Class in conjunction with the Frostbite Racing Series! 

Classroom on Thursdays: 5 Thursdays from 6-8pm, starting November 2, 2017

Racing on Saturdays: Two teams of four alternate Saturdays from November 4th- March 24th, 11am-3pm (holiday weekends excluded). Register as either "Team A" or Team B" when enrolling. 

Team A Sailing Schedule: 11/4, 11/18, 12/9, 1/6, 1/20, 2/3, 2/17, 3/3, 3/17

Team B Sailing Schedule: 11/11, 12/2, 12/16, 1/13,1/27, 2/10, 2/24, 3/10, 3/24
