This course has been reformatted in order to hold the classroom sessions online. Details are in description of each format below.

Sessions cover balance and sail shape, tuning, introduction to spinnaker handling, docking, and anchoring under power, use of marine radio, and daytime coastal navigation. 

An excellent preparation for the Racing course, Cruising course or Mid-Range membership.

The Advanced Course is offered in 3 different formats: 4 Week, Vacation Week, and Weekend. All formats consist of four two hour online classroom sessions and four three and a half hour the water sessions for a total of 22 hours of instruction – 8 hours of classroom time and 14 hours on the water.


Member Discount

One of the many benefits of membership at the Boston Sailing Center is that active Daysailing, Mid-Range, Cruising 30, 35, and 40 members receive 10% off the full price of courses. Discount applied in cart once logged in with your member credentials (if you do not know your credentials - contact the BSC, do not create another account). Discount cannot be combined with other offers. Not applicable to Macro Courses. 

Group Enrollment

Signing up with more than one person? We have a discount for that! Groups of two or more who sign up together for the same course qualify for discounts of 10% off the course fee after one student has purchased the course at full price (in other words, it's full price for the first person and 10% off for each additional person).

To qualify for the group enrollment discount, purchases must be made over the phone. Contact the office at 617-227-4198 to register your group.
