Cruising Course

$1810 This course will prepare you for a Cruising 30 or Cruising 35 membership or for bareboat chartering in waters like the Virgin Islands.

Two evening sessions cover the mechanical and electrical systems of a full-size cruising boat, the navigation required for day and night sailing in coastal waters, and docking under power.

CruisingThe full weekend sail teaches all the fundamental skills needed to charter and cruise successfully, including entering unfamiliar harbors, anchoring, sail handling, dinghy use and more. See the recommended gear list here.

Due to the pandemic, this course has been reformatted to eliminate overnight stays onboard. The boat will return to the BSC each evening so students can head home. The course content has not changed from the original format,  just the time spent overnight on the boat.
